Overview

This 2-minute film acts as a “how-to” guide, an instruction manual of sorts for the Hot Heart project by @crassociati, which outlines the concept and the benefits the project offers Helsinki. The instruction manual also acts as a metaphor for how this concept can be taken and applied to other cities around the world.

Art Direction

The use of clean cartographic lines creates a digital canvas for bringing a futuristic blueprint aesthetic to the Hot Heart design and plan. By adding Risograph print grainy texture, an environmentally friendly and cost-effective printing technique, this aesthetic brings a natural and organic feel to the paper and colors. The film’s narrative has simplicity at the core and uses minimalistic icons language to convey its idea.
